Lead Engineer — TrustIQ

The role

A Singapore-headquartered data and AI company building identity data for the AI economy.

• TrustIQ is their sub-100ms REST API product, providing real-time identity and risk intelligence for credit, KYC, and fraud teams, leveraging a graph of 4.9 billion consented device-location signals.
• This Lead Engineer role is the first dedicated engineering hire for TrustIQ, taking full ownership of the product from problem definition to production.
• Responsibilities include designing, building, and maintaining the public API (Fastify/TypeScript), the scalable identity and location data platform, internal admin tools, client-facing playground, and the underlying Google Cloud infrastructure.
• The core focus is bringing the data layer in-house, scaling it, and building new query types like phone-to-device binding and location attestation.

Requirements

• Candidates must possess 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including technical lead or senior engineer roles on production services.
• Essential skills include strong Node.js/TypeScript backend development for REST APIs with strict latency and uptime requirements, and strong React/TypeScript for internal tools and client-facing web surfaces.
• Deep experience with document and key-value data modeling (e.g., MongoDB) and understanding trade-offs across various data stores at high volume is crucial.
• Hands-on data engineering experience, including designing and running batch and streaming pipelines over large datasets with quality controls, is required.
